Friendsville Community Park
(947 Old River Road, Friendsville, MD 21531).
Located along the Youghiogheny River with nearby river access, playgrounds, pavilions, and plenty of open space.
Driving Directions from Interstate 68
From I‑68 Westbound
1. Take Exit 4 (Friendsville).
2. At the bottom of the ramp, turn right onto the exit road.
3. Continue and then turn left onto Addison Road just past the Old Mill Restaurant.
4. Follow Addison Rd, then turn left into Old River Road, leading directly into Friendsville Community Park.
5. Enter the loop — the pavilions and festival area are located toward the back.
From I‑68 Eastbound
1. Take Exit 4, and at the fork, stay right onto MD‑42 South.
2. Turn left onto First Ave.
3. Shortly after, turn right onto Maple Street.
4. Then turn left onto Addison Road just past the Old Mill.
5. Finally, turn left into Old River Road to enter the park loop.
Tips & Landmarks
• There’s no numbered street address on Old River Road — look for brown signs marking the park.
• The park is a 2-minute drive from the I-68 exit and about 15 minutes from Deep Creek Lake.
• From the park loop, you’ll access free parking, ADA-friendly paths, restrooms, sandy riverbank, playgrounds, and paved walking trails.
• Festival-specific tip: once inside the loop, head to the back of the park — that’s where the main pavilion and stage area is set up .
At the Festival
• Enter the loop, park, and walk to the back-center where the stage and pavilions are located.
• The park is pedestrian-friendly, with paved trails, river access, playgrounds — great for families and guests of all abilities.

To promote love, acceptance, equity & diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community by educating the community, honoring LGBTQIA+ heritage, advocating for LGBTQIA+ culture, and celebrating our diverse society in Garrett County and Western Maryland.
Our Purpose:
By organizing events (including Garrett County Pride Festival), providing education, and creating safe places in our community, Garrett County Pride (GCP) strives to end discrimination against LGBTQIA+ people, work towards a world of acceptance & equity for all, and lift the diverse voices of the community. GCP envisions a world where lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer people (as well as community members who use different language to describe identity) are ensured equity and embraced as full members of society at home, at work, and throughout the community of Garrett County and Western Maryland.
